The irony of Trump 2.0

If you are a regular reader you know I am not a fan of Trump, yet I was thinking about his current administration and realized most of his policies can be better implemented. He would have done more if he had done less. For some Trump critics they may not think this is a strong enough critique, yet there is a reason I am not lambasting the whole thing.

Trump and his administration spend more time shooting their own policies in the foot and hence not succeeding like they want not because of Democrats or “RINOs”, but because they cannot even implement their own plans including Project 2025.

It scares and amazes me how much more they could have accomplished if they had worked within the confines of the law instead of lambasting everyone and ramrodding through bad implementation. Yes for some of us there are horrendous policy proposals, but for why people voted for him they could have done so much more. The one specific policy that strikes me the most is deporting the criminal illegals.

If they had spent the same amount of time dragging anyone and everyone through the mud by ICE, they may have made a serious dent into the real problem.

If they had actually studied the landscape they may have found tariffs that actually accomplished his goals of bringing more industrial production back to this country. Or basically instead of blanket madness, we get very targeted and industry specific tariffs.

If they really wanted to create election integrity they could have started right away and prepackaged a set of laws and regulations to give to the states not to override their laws, but to work with the federal  government. Or basically the federal government shares their illegal immigration data with the states and required the purging of anyone on the federal government’s list with consequences if they didn’t. And if they did this right away then the states would have time that they don’t have now.

So if you are a Trump supporter isn’t this what you voted for? So what happened? My argument to you they never had the intention of doing what you wanted. They are in this for themselves.  I want to bring this to you, not as a criticism of who you are or the policies you want because in all fairness criminal illegals and election integrity etc… are valid policies.

Too many on the liberal side do not see that most Trump supporters are hard working Americans that were led down the wrong path. I hope to bring you back so we can end the animosity and move forward.

And to the critics, yes I know there are Trump supporters who are just pieces of dog poop, but they are the minority. You need to quit denigrating so many Americans because it makes you as despicable as Trump. Name calling is not the answer. It is time to recognize the policies some people in this country want versus the asinine aspects of this administration and conflating the two.

We need to move forward post this election and the best way to do this is to bring back average Americans together to fight the real internal enemies facing this county such as corruption, billionaires buying off this government and ignorance. This will take work so we need to coalesce on some basic fundamental government to right this ship.

Most Americans want a balanced budget, social security and medicare strengthened for the long term, better education for their children, healthcare costs lowered along with better heath care, tax policies that make the uber wealthy contribute to our economy, (and this is not socialism), repair of infrastructure and inflation to come under control along with some help on the consumer end with wages and market stability.

We do not get this until we recognize the minor differences in what we want and that overall most policies can be achieved once we retake control of our government.

So to the Trump supporters and critics remember it is not a few policy ideas why you are arguing with each other, it is the hate instilled on both sides by the elite in Washington who are dying to protect themselves from ever being held accountable for their actions or in some cases lack of action in actually governing for and by the people. We need to turn down the hate rhetoric and both sides are going to have to be the bigger person to get this started.

Cheers
