So you are standing over the cliff of democracy

  And thinking about jumping, well it is too late. 

Okay maybe not, but wow oh wow. When a Cheney loses an election because she actually cared about doing what was right and not sending half our military budget to war then you think there still may be a chance. In some ways I want her to run for President, but then again what will it accomplish. And if she wins, what next?

Yet here we stand today where someone on Trump’s “team” released a letter that basically says we have been breaking the law religiously the whole time while playing innocent and yanking the chain of the DOJ simultaneously hoping to convince Trump’s supporters how bad he is treated. How on earth did things get so twisted?

And you wonder why I harp on needing a better public education system.

And then you have the master of propaganda knee deep in a war holding photo copies of our nuclear systems given to him by you know who, trying to decide how he can win something and save face. And how far down will he go to win this war, drag other countries (Belarus) into it, or will their soldiers lie down and let the Russians get fired upon on their territory. Or will he just keep upping the ante blindly thinking he can find Ukraine’s capitulation point, which right now doesn’t look like that is going to happen. Maybe he hopes climate change is real so he can blame that for the scorch earth he will create with a nuclear disaster. Yep, blow up half the cities on the planet and we reduce our carbon footprint a bit. 

And if by chance you are an optimist and quit reading this, then you already know football season is soon upon us because what is more important: winning your fantasy football league or humanity? Everyone already knows the answer so no need to comment. 

There are days when I want to write something positive and uplifting, then I do something stupid and read the news. And even though I am a conservative, John Oliver gets it more than others or is at least funny. Nothing wrong with knowing what others might think, just might help you strengthen your view point.

a few quick observations, summer 2022

Good evening all,

Brittany Griner is being held hostage in Russia. And what is sad is that when the family went to Biden for help, they only gave Putin more leverage to hold her hostage. 

I am seeing more articles on this “Forward” political party so they better get on the streets and start registering people. We all know they have an uphill battle so they need to win some local elections somewhere soon. Obviously they won’t make the 2022 midterm ballots, yet for example getting on some off year ballots and winning something is the best thing way to get started. They say they are building up volunteers, they better get them going right after the midterms.

I have never been a big fan of Dick Cheney, yet whooo hooo, gotta love him today. I really appreciate him standing up for his daughter ( I do mean this) and oh yeah, what he said. (and I meant that too)

There are way too many crazy people nowadays for my sanity, however it was nice to see one Alex Jones have to face the truth. He has made too much money living off gullible people so for him to admit, at least indirectly, he hasn’t been selling viable information was refreshing. Or was it he was just caught being a POS liar? hmmmmmmmmmmm?
