I fear expectations are too high today

I want to Post something before Mueller testifies, however I don’t have anytime right now. So quickly I think many people are going to be disappointed today. Not because there is the issue Russia interfered with the election, it is the expectations are too high for Mueller to supply a last minute silver bullet that leads to the downfall of Trump. That is not going to happen. Mueller will add nothing new. Yes we are in trouble with Trump, but saving this country is going to take much work. And I have another idea for a post I will get to shortly and this is a thought of mine to why extremism on right and left is ruling the day right now. So some people need to be prepared to be let down today and we are going to have to listen to much noise from Trump and supporters saying no collusion etc.  of course we all know there is conspiracy

Quick catch up July 2019

Well, the Cowboys are in trouble, I was speaking to one of my children yesterday and they aren’t too excited about their chances, I agreed, then an article came out today saying Cowboys will go 8-8 from someone in Las Vegas.  Also do you want a running back who can give you 1100-1300 yards a season and stay out of trouble or take your chances on one of the best runners in the league right now who may only get to play half a season again. I am guessing Vegas thinks Zeke is going to get suspended for a few games again. So far no, or how long is he going to hold out in some foreign country? Cowboys should get a back up plan ready pronto.  Training camp starts in less than a week.

And then there was the dud of the Mavericks free agency. I like we got Curry again, yet he should have been the third strong player acquired to bolster the Luka and KP duo.  I do not care what anybody says we are not going to surprise anybody except maybe me.

And then there was the Rangers. A week ago, it was wow there are the Rangers, now, they seem to have had the week all of us expected this team to have. It has been fun so far so hopefully they will get back on track.

And the clueless Dems are having Mueller wet dreams again. Personally, I still want to know what happened in August of 2016 between Manafort and some operative and the polling data. There is serious business buried in that information. So, it is either that information or some financial dealings from years ago is where you will really find Trump and Russia playing footsie. And I am curious what stopped the investigation? Was he asked to stop or was he tired of the lack of cooperation from others?

And is there anything else new? Well:

No healthcare, no infrastructure, no better education, no long term help for social security or medicare, no foreign policy, no plan for nukes for North Korea, no plan for Iran, no campaign reform, no nothing, oops wait we have a debt ceiling deal for two years, so we don’t do anything except say we can’t afford what we are doing, hmmmmmmm  forty years of Dems and Reps doing nothing but helping themselves and we are going to elect them again in 2020, are we expecting different results?

Oops, where is my glass of wine? Gotta go, time to eat something.  Hopefully I can get back to more of  my usual blathering again.

Some thoughts,

Never listen to people who have money tell you how to spend your money. And especially if they are telling you how to spend money on your children, because they probably don’t spend that way on their children.

Boggles the mind and I have said this before, why can’t people admit their side made a mistake. Just own up to it. People will hide behind all sorts of madness even when it isn’t them just so some person who doesn’t deserve their trust won’t get into trouble. You see it happen all the time.

Rich people don’t deserve our trust. They became rich in most instances because all they focus on is themselves. Why do people think they are going to help them out?

Can you tell I am skating around the elephant in the room today? I am having a hard time dealing with the fact that one man can hurt so many children and people will protect him without rhyme or reason. Yet, in the past people have gone to some length to protect him. What do they hope to gain? They are only gaining guilt by association if not worse when the real deal comes down. And yet tomorrow someone else will screw up and people will come to their rescue sacrificing their values and integrity for nothing, absolutely nothing.

What gives?

Did you know God is humble? What does God have to prove? God does not have to answer to anyone, so God does not need to act out to prove self is better than others. No image problems, no self worth issues, no pissing contests to see who has the most of whatever, God can just exist for the sheer joy of being with us. Too bad we do not return the favor.

Happy Fourth of July 2019

I hope everyone enjoys the day.

Many years ago the family took a two week family vacation to see many sites. 

We drove through Memphis and spent the day at Graceland.

We enjoyed a long drive through Virginia on the interstate along the Appalachian Mountains.

We spent three days in Washington D. C. with the highpoint watching the fireworks on the Mall. 

We drove to New York and spent two days walking around the city including going to the 911 twin tower site. This was just a few years after the attack so it was a very solemn moment. 

We went to Atlantic City and unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t get to enjoy walking around on the boardwalk at Atlantic City which was something we wanted to do. We did for a few moments, otherwise we stayed at an older hotel, but were able to stay on the top floor so we had a great view over the ocean.

We drove back through Washington D. C. and spent another day sight-seeing and visiting some of the monuments we missed the first time.

After all that we drove home tired, yet having enjoyed a wonderful trip seeing our country. There were so many wonderful moments and sights we saw I could write for pages, yet for now they are in my memories so I can focus on enjoying today.

I have to remember this trip because this is what our country is all about; enjoying the country with family with the opportunity to share so much of its riches with our children.

I bring this up today even though it has been years since that trip because I wanted to think of something positive today since the current event in Washington D. C. has nothing to do with the true essence of our country. Elitism is the anti-thesis to everything this country stands for and I wish the vast majority of our country celebrates locally with family and enjoys the day and appreciates the true values of our country.
