a few " you got to be kidding me"

1) Last week Tom Brady had some minor knee injury at practice and supposedly some of the Las Vegas Odds makers shut down the odds on the AFC title, Super Bowl etc. Could not believe it when I heard it. Does this say something about Tom Brady as a quarterback or our society and gambling? Nowadays would Vegas shut down the odds if Terry Bradshaw got hurt, Roger Staubach, Joe Montana, or Troy Aikman. All four are multiple Super Bowl winning quarterbacks. What about Bret Favre? John Elway? Again is it Brady or is it us? You just got to be kidding me.

2) Last week the Republican National Committee voted to exclude CNN and NBC from their 2016 Presidential primary debates. And this is because both these stations are thinking or preparing to run specials/programs on Hillary Clinton. And way too many people think this is a good idea. Seriously? Their image is pretty battered outside the party right now. If they truly want to win the Presidency they need to get voters outside the party to vote for them, not alienate more people. I think they may run into a freedom of the press issue anyway, but who knows CNN and NBC may decide to go along with it. They are the "liberal" news outlets. That would be just about as stupid. This is for the Presidency folks, an educated electorate is what we need. The RNC gets support from the NRA so maybe the RNC can borrow guns to actually shot themselves in the foot. Another: you got to be kidding me.

3) And also last week I was going to bet the better half when gas prices would start to go up before labor day, basically make a two person pool on what day prices will shift upwards, and my wife says, " they will stay down because I heard on the news that there is plenty of gasoline." Next day gas goes up 14 cents and more at the pump. And I still haven't heard as to why. Egypt? That was the reason they went up a few weeks ago. And the price jump was pretty comparable, then it took I don't know how many weeks to start to come back to where it was previously. Boom! one day and 14 or more cents up. No rational for all this. Anyway it came down a penny yesterday here at many stations, not the majority though. So lets play the game when do they come back up for the labor day weekend. Take a guess folks, but overall this is just another: you got to be kidding me.

And for the sports fans, not a good weekend for the Rangers or the Cowboys. At least for the Cowboys it was preseason, but 6 turnovers. Seriously Coach, wrong side of the ball getting higher turnover numbers. oops.

Have a great evening
