A completely different take on Family -updated

This is about the family.

So we are at the point where the previous generation has just about all passed away so certain traditions have to be carried on by my generation.

So here we are listening to Mariachi music and Rocio Durcal (a favorite of the better half), drinking tequila while my wife has now put herself in charge of the menudo. This is a dish that needs to cook for hours and quite frankly I am not too happy about the way the abode is about to smell. I am not a fan of Menudo, but have lived through the generations of people partying, cooking, and staying up all night with the extended family all around the table enjoying the time spent together.

The kids and grandkids have been invited so the new iteration of this tradition is about to begin.

Oh well, the original plan had been a little Beethoven, a little Stravinsky, and a little wine, but when you love someone you go with the flow.

And this is another reason I value the family and feel we should make sure we protect the value of family.
