Keep following the money

As we hear more and more about our most famous friend Donald Trump, I still remind everyone to follow the money. Congress is still focused on the election collusion which I say is a symptom of the bigger problem.

This weekend I read an article that made a very interesting point. This was an article about our favorite son-in-law playing patty cake with the Russian ambassador. One sentence said his contact may have been a diversion for other contacts or activities. There is not much on this, however, I feel this might be a possibility. In following the money Trump and Russia go back some time according to some articles, so the real communication channels may have been set up long before the election.

And another concern I have is that many in Congress really do not want too much uncovered since there may be a long oil money connection with Russia and other oil producing states that were set up that benefit oil producers overall.  Oil spends much money lobbying Congress. Why would Tillerson ask for a waiver on investing in Russia oil right after Trump’s administration came into power? I fear they have plans to make sure the price of oil can rise once they have the pieces in place.

It is a shame our government is so manipulated by oil interests. We have the greatest document written by man and we should be using that as the highlight of our own and foreign policy interactions, yet oil interests continue to dominate politics in our country. If the people would insert their rightful place in our government, then hopefully we could get on the right track. I am not saying people cannot make money from oil, (yet I also think oil has run its course in human history) it is just what is right for the whole of the country is where we need to focus. And yes I know certain people would laugh and poke fun of my idealism, some because they are ignorant and some because they would want to distract from my points because they do not want to lose the power or imagined power they have by supporting oil interests.

We need to be watchful of where the investigation goes because we need to make sure all aspects of the money connections are found. Yes, we may find more than certain people in our country want us to find, but they are not who we are as a country. Overcoming greed is a challenge in itself, yet when one commodity can dominate so much of the world’s interactions; people becoming despots; manipulating politics for their own benefit; poisoning and destroying our world etc… the challenge can seem insurmountable. I disagree, yet I fear time is running out for us to be able to take back our own destiny. Oil isn’t the world, it is only one commodity and there are many ways to power the planet.

And on a completely different note, it is tiring the amount of time the infamous liberal media is trying to find ways to shame Donald Trump. Obviously, I think he is destroying our country and our values, yet the media is making themselves look stupid trying so hard. They should stick to the facts and the issues. This obsession with all the sideline stupidity only gives ammunition to his supports that the media is only out to get him because they do not like him. Yes, as a person Mr. Trump may have some character flaws, but that is not why we he should be President. There are much bigger problems that need to be addressed from his policies that hurt the country to the possible connections to Russia that go against our National security. Focus people, focus.
